Details from the BC Government news release:
Residents in B.C.’s northwestern communities are invited to share their thoughts on the future of two northern highways through a survey that will inform ongoing planning for the corridors.
Highways 37 and 37A are important routes that connect people and businesses in the region with the goods, services and transportation links they need. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is studying the long-term transportation needs of northwestern communities and businesses that rely on these corridors and is seeking public input.
The transportation planning work will assess the current highways and identify possible opportunities for improvements to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable movement of people and goods into the future.
The ministry invites everyone who relies on Highways 37, from Kitwanga to the Yukon border, and Highway 37A, to share their views on these highways – whether they use these routes several times a day or once a decade – through a confidential survey. The survey will be open to all residents until Nov. 24, 2023.
