After 18 years with Destination BC, Global Brand Director Jacqueline Simpson is getting ready to take on an exciting new challenge and role with the Yellowstone to Yukon (Y2Y) Conservation Initiative. As an organization that works to protect and connect wildlife along the spine of the Rockies, it is work that aligns deeply with her values and passion.
As many partners may know, Jacqueline has most recently led the Invest in Iconics Strategy – a monumental undertaking, and one for which we are grateful to have had her strategic insights, creative ambition, and thoughtful leadership. Destination BC will continue to forge ahead with this work, and we look forward to bringing more of that vision to life as each transformative, iconic brand is launched.
In her years with Destination BC, Jacqueline has made an indelible contribution to our organization and the tourism industry in BC, not only leading key projects like the 100 BC Moments, Artists’ Series and the Google trekker BC Journeys campaigns, and the Invest in Iconics Strategy, but establishing lasting, trusting relationships with partners around the province.
While her last day with Destination BC is Friday, February 2, we know the legacy and friendships she has built will continue to thrive.
