Tourism Events Program Supports Array of Exciting Events in BC

The Tourism Events Program (TEP) was created by the BC Government to help events increase the volume of visitors to British Columbia, broaden global recognition of the province, and build BC’s reputation as an internationally renowned destination. The program achieves this by providing supplemental funding for marketing and promotional activities aimed at drawing more people to BC communities, as well as increasing awareness of what’s happening in the province for locals and visitors alike.

With support from BC’s TEP, locals and visitors from around the world will have a variety of festivals, contests and shows to choose from in communities across BC this coming year. The latest round of the program is providing nearly $3 million for 45 events taking place between October 2019 and September 2020 in Northern BC, Vancouver Island, Kootenay Rockies, Thompson Okanagan, and Vancouver, Coast and Mountains. Applications for the TEP are accepted twice a year; the next round opens March 21, 2020.
