Destination BC China and Tuniu.com (a Chinese OTA) hosted a consumer-facing camping event in Hangzhou (Eastern China) on August 3rd. 30+ targeted consumers along with 3 key media outlets attended this outdoor event, which capitalized on the growing trend in China for camping and nature experiences.
Immersed in mountainous camping site, guests enjoyed the party which consisted of destination experience introduction, influencer sharing, game session and lucky draw. One invited influencer livestreamed the whole event.
The activity was also amplified by pre and post event promotion through 10 influencers, PR release and recap video via WeChat and Weibo Channels. As of August 5th, the total online views reached 12.36 million.
Earlier this year, DBC also launched BC flagship store on Tuniu.com, presenting inspirational destination content for future travel.
