At April’s meeting, the Sea to Sky Destination Management Council received an update on the Don’t Love it to Death signage installation program. 31 jurisdictions have been engaged with 170+ planned installations to come this summer—from backcountry trail signs to the Seabus terminals in downtown Vancouver and the North Shore.
The Don’t Love it to Death campaign has planned collaborations with community partners, local media, and the BC Wildfire Service underway to further reinforce the key messages of the responsible recreation campaign.
The Council was pleased to hear about the Spark program winner in the Sea to Sky corridor, and the new Junior Ranger program for young visitors hosted by Tourism Whister’s Visitor Centre team, funded through the Visitor Experience Grant.
The Council is scheduled to meet again in September 2024.
