Stay Local Guides for BC Residents

We know that the latest health orders are asking BC residents to stay close to home and that while difficult, this step is necessary to keep our communities safe. In light of this, we want to help BC residents brighten up their winter with fun and inspiring ideas on how they can safely and responsibly stay local and support local, beyond holiday shopping.

Here’s where our tourism partners come in:

1. Let us know if you have recently created a blog post or page on your site that provides ideas for things to do this winter in your community for local residents. The page must include key messaging around the latest guidelines from the PHO (i.e. clearly state that these are ideas for locals, not visitors), and we strongly recommend that you verify that any businesses featured are currently open to the public and have posted their COVID-19 safety plans on their business website.

OR 

1. Consider publishing a Stay Local Guide or update a Dedicated Winter Activities page for your community and share it with us.
   
   Tip: Consider building out a half-day or one-day itinerary or break out your guide by category to help readers plan their perfect day out in their community based on their unique interests.
