Jump In International Traffic for Vancouver International Airport
|
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is experiencing quick growth in the number of international passengers travelling, according to data from the Vancouver Airport Authority (VAA), leading to high expectations for summer season travel.
International travel was slow to return to YVR following the COVID-19 pandemic, but figures up to May show that the number of international visitors in the first five months of this year are almost at the level seen in those months in 2019, before the pandemic disrupted travel around the world.

A Story of Resilience and Rebuilding: REO Rafting & Yoga Resort Re-opens for 42nd Season Following Devastating Wildfire
|
After suffering devastating destruction due to last summer’s wildfires, REO Rafting & Yoga Resort, near Boston Bar, has re-opened following eight months of rebuilding and revitalization. Though the capacity is smaller now, the business opened with 17 glamping tents, each located five metres above the rapids of the Nahatlatch River. Guests have resumed whitewater rafting on the world-class river and, although the tragedy of the fire frames both sides of the waterway, the regrowth is green and the speed and continuous nature of the rapids keeps them focused on the waters ahead.
REO Rafting & Yoga Resort will be open until September 21, and locals and visitors are invited to see the revitalization efforts and enjoy the best of BC’s nature, adventure, and wellness.
